Saud Hashimi

Saud Hashimi is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Xebec Venture Partners, an early stage, consumer tech investor and operator. At Xebec, Saud oversees venture technology and digital asset investments; and runs Xebec's shared services ITO platform. Operating from Dubai for nearly 5 years, Xebec currently has 3 global consumer tech investments and 2 regional digital platform investments.

Before founding Xebec, Saud was with Fajr Capital Ltd. a Dubai based investment firm, where he led the team's digital banking strategy and consumer due diligence efforts for 4 years.

Prior to Fajr, Saud worked for 7 years with Citigroup in New York. At Citigroup, Saud held various roles focused on new initiatives in consumer banking. At Citigroup, he was a founding team member - and later head - of a data analytics business called Market Monitor. Market Monitor used card consumer spend data to forecast retail sales and provide marketing metrics and trade area anaytics to retail partners and customers. He was also SVP, Venture Development and Strategy for Citigroup's Consumer Innovation and Ventures team which focused on developing and investing in new fintech opportunities.

Saud got his start in business at Corporate Decision Inc., a growth strategy firm in Boston were he focused on consumer analyses, business anaytics and venture due diligence.

Saud holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and has a B.A. In Economics from Princeton University where he focused on econometrics and applied statistics.
